What is Tube Dimmer?
Tube Dimmer is claimed to be the free application that allows you to turn off the lights when watching videos on your favorite websites. It is said that you'll find a new light switch button on eligible websites while the Tube Dimmer is running. However, is it really that helpful? Tee Support labs recently have received many complaints that Tube Dimmer get installed itself without their knowledge and refused to be removed. I will list the one of the report below:
'but not Tube Dimmer...very little help available on Net to destroy it, as it seems to be a new type of evil...it is gone from Add/remove Programs but starts up every reboot...and will not shut down...not sure if it is available in Task Manager/Processes (no obvious entries...must be masquerading as somthing else).'
You see? Once installed, it must be a nightmare and keep coming back again and again. Usually it comes along with the suspicious attachments and via visiting questionable websites or free software downloads. Solution one:Step-by-step Guide to manually Delete Tube Dimmer
Step 1- Reset Internet Explorer by the following guide (take IE as an example):
Open Internet Explorer >> Click on Tools >> Click on Internet Options >> In the Internet Options window click on the Connections tab >> Then click on the LAN settings button>> Uncheck the check box labeled “Use a proxy server for your LAN” under the Proxy Server section and press OK.
Step 2- Disable any suspicious startup items that are made by infections from TUBE DIMMER
For Windows Xp: Click Start menu -> click Run -> type: msconfig in the Run box -> click Ok to open the System Configuration Utility -> Disable all possible startup items generated from TUBE DIMMER.
For Windows Vista or Windows7: click start menu->type msconfig in the search bar -> open System Configuration Utility -> Disable all possible startup items generated from TUBE DIMMER.
Step 3- Open Windows Task Manager and close all running processes.
( Methods to open Task Manager: Press CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or Press the Start button->click on the Run option->Type in taskmgr and press OK.)
Step 4- Remove these associated Files on your hard drive such as:

Step 5- Open the Registry Editor and delete the following entries:

Step 6-Restart your computer normally to check the effectiveness.
