‘I installed Privitize VPN (without my knowledge!). I thought I had successfully removed all traces of this annoying "bad"-ware. It's not in my registry, it doesn't show up under add/remove programs, and it dosn't show up under add-ons for Firefox, Chrome, or IE.
However, when I came out to the computer, there was a login box for Privitize vpn in the middle of a Firefox window -- with some unknown user's name in the user name box. I closed out Firefox, started it back up, and the same login appeared. This time I x-ed out the login window, and then tried to access google.com to search for more info on Privitize VPN. I was unable to access the internet.
