Guardbytes blocks you from opening legit programs?
“I was wondeing if anyone has seen the GuardBytes virus? It hijacked my laptop and wouldn't let me open any browser, run any antivirus software, or even boot in safe mode while asking me to register”
“My son's laptop is infected with a phony antivirus called Guardbytes. It blocks a number of programs, including web browsers, and claims that they are infected with a kelogger. It also throws up phony alert windows warning of viruses, hack attacks, suspicious web sites, etc. and wants you to activate their software to make the "threats" go away. It will not allow me to install Malwarebytes, Chameleon, or Farbar. It even blocks the task manager”
